tattoos and piercings -Jimmy has a few tattoos, and the odd piercing. One of his ears is pierced, which he got done when he was fifteen. He has two ear rings to go in it, but depending on when he can be assed to change it, it'll either be a silver hoop, or a black stud On his knuckles, he has black stars that he got done at eighteen. On his left arm, he got the logo of record company Adeline Records done when he was sixteen, and all his other tattoos followed after that. On his left bicep, he got "Saint Jimmy" tattooed, simply because he's always been a fan of irony, and he's as far away from a saint as you can get. On the back of his right arm, a black skull takes up most of that space, and on his neck he got the letters "J.S" done, surrounded by black stars. In the center of his chest, he got the Green Day heart grenade tattooed, and he's planning on getting more as soon as he can afford them.
distinguishing features -The most distinguishing thing about Jimmy is probably his height. He's always been tall, and although it pisses him off sometimes, it also gives him the upper hand in fights occasionally, which is always a bonus. Although his hair is a natural dark brown colour, he's died it God knows how many times - currently, it's just plain black, but God knows when he'll change it again. His eyes are an extremely dark green, and the amount of drugs he pumps into his system make him extremely pale, but he's long since learned that the high he gets is well worth what happens to him.
physical flaws -Jimmy is constantly fighting - whether it's a minor scrap or it results in someone getting hospitalized, he lives to fight, and as a result, has plenty of scars from them. He has a few acne scars on his face as well, but they aren't all that noticeable from too far away. Thanks to the mixture of heroin, cocaine and novacaine he's been pumping into his body for years, his skin is extremely pale, with a papery quality, and it's made him extremely skinny. The layers of Kohl he adds to his eyes don't help all that much either - they just make him look worse, but pointing this out will most likely get you stabbed by him, so nobody really says much.
personal style -Jimmy doesn't care what the hell he wears. If it's clean, he wears it, and that's basically it. His wardrobe is a bit limited anyway - made mostly of jeans, band t-shirts and hoodies, he doesn't have much to choose from to wear. The oldest thing in his wardrobe is quite easily a pair of black and white hi-top Converse All Stars. He's had them for God knows how many years, and they are the only pair of shoes he ever wears. Another constant thing about his appearance is the layers of Kohl he applies every day - they don't do anything for him, not really, but he's been wearing it for years, and he's not going to stop just because it makes him look sick.

strengths -» Lying;; Jimmy is, and always has been, an amazing liar. He can easily pull a lie out of nowhere if he's caught out, but they're always better if he's come up with it before hand - he can make it seem so honest, the only way you'd know he's lying was if you knew he never told the truth. Although it's not really a skill to be proud of, it's gotten Jimmy out of loads of tight spots, and he's proud of being able to do that.
» Intelligent;; Even though he constantly caused trouble in school, and wasn't in class all that often, Jimmy is actually pretty smart. Unfortunately, most of that goes on knowing about drugs, and selling them, but he doesn't really care. All he's focused on is partying until he dies, and fuck the rest of the world, so it doesn't matter to him that the smarts to get him somewhere in life aren't being used.
» Acting;; Jimmy's acting skills go hand in hand with him being a liar. He's always been good at pretending, which is where these come from, and it means he can pull off just about anything he wants and the proof of these skills are the fact he got one of his friends sent down for drugs when it was really him who sold them - although he mostly uses his skills to help himself, he's not above using them to hurt other people.
» Fighting;; Fighting is something Jimmy enjoys, so it's not all that surprising he's gotten good at it. He comes out top in most of the fist-fight he gets into, but he's also pretty good with a knife, which worries some of his friends - but Jimmy's never cared about what they though. He sees it as being able to protect himself, and that's all.
» Social skills;; Dealing with two types of people, normal and violent, on a daily basis has given Jimmy incredibly social skills. He can talk himself in and out of anything, and can persuade people to do anything for him, but these skills mostly come in handy when he's looking for sex - he can pick up anyone, and he finds it brilliant.
weaknesses -» Unfaithful;; Jimmy has never been in a relationship that has lasted longer than a week, and he's never been able to stay faithful to the one person. Commitment was never something he was good at, and when it comes to being in a relationship, he just can't do it.
» Dishonest;; Jimmy can't remember the last time he actually told the truth. He lies almost as easily as he breathes, and pressure to tell the truth will just result in a punch-up, so the word "truth" isn't really part of his vocabulary anymore.
» Violent;; Jimmy has a lot of problems, and one of them is that he's too violent for his own good. He'll take a swing at anyone over anything, but all this does is lead to more problems that he solves with his fists. He isn't sure when he got like this, but violence solves everything for him, and he isn't sure how to break out of this habit.
» Emotionally unstable;; Jimmy goes from emotion to emotion faster than people can blink. One minute he'll be perfectly calm, and the next, he'll have his switchblade out and have it at your throat. His home life wasn't exactly happy, making him unstable enough, but all the drugs he pumps into his body don't help either, and they're the reason he's so mixed up and confused about himself - but he just pretends it's not happening, which means pretty soon, he's going to explode.
» Emotionally attached;; If Jimmy gets emotionally attached to someone, he'll cling to them with everything he's got and refuse to let them go, no matter what. Again, this comes from home problems, and although it can scare some people off, it also means that Jimmy has some good friends. Unfortunately, though, if any of the people he's attached to betray him in some way, he'd go ballistic, and his violent nature would take over.
fears -» Overdosing
» Being trapped in Boswyth forever.
» Being alone for the rest of his life.
secret -My parents have practically forgotten I exist, so I go out and get into as much trouble as fucking possible so they'll pay attention to me.
overall personality -Jimmy Armstrong is a timebomb that's counting down. There are two different sides to Jimmy, but hardly anyone has ever seen beneath his violent exterior. When he's out with friends, Jimmy is frankly nuts. He'd do anything he was dared to do, and anything he wanted, simply because he can. Violence has been a part of Jimmy's world since before he was born, and it runs in his blood. When Jimmy gets angry, he hits the roof, and starts lashing out - it's mostly boys who get the worst of his blows, because he feels uncomfortable hitting girls, but that doesn't mean he doesn't do it sometimes.
The other side to Jimmy is the boy who just wants attention from his parents. His real dad cleared off years ago, and his step-dad isn't much better. Him and Jimmy are constantly locking horns over what Jimmy does in the streets of Boswyth - but that's only when he can bother to give the boy attention. His mum and step-dad have started to act like Jimmy doesn't exist, and it's driving him mad. He used to be the only thing on his mum's mind when he was younger, but his step-dad changed all that, and one of these days, Jimmy is going to get up the guts to stab him - he's been wanting to for a while.
Mostly, though, Jimmy's just out to have fun. Drugs, alcohol and sex are every day occurrences. Jimmy spends most of his nights at parties thrown by his friends or his current girlfriend, or in the seedy clubs of Boswyth. Occasionally, though, he'll show up at a high class club, and raise hell - because it's fun. He'll then spend the rest of the night getting high, before reeling home and passing out in his bedroom, or a friends bedroom.
The combination of all these isn't good though. Jimmy has never been completely stable, and going off the rails was not good for him. He keeps bottling up his problems as well, hoping they'll disappear, and that means it's only a matter of time before he explodes.

history -Since before he was born, Jimmy Armstrong has been subjected to violence. His mother was fifteen when she found out she was expecting Jimmy, his dad seventeen. Neither of them were exactly thrilled at the idea of a baby, but his mother had been too afraid to tell him at first - with good reason. He didn't find out until Lacey was five months into the pregnancy, and too far gone to get an abortion. So he decided to give her one himself.
His father beat the shit out of his mother, and had her hospitalized for over a month. It was a miracle both Jimmy and his mother managed to survive, but his real dad disappeared as soon as he heard the police were after him for what he'd done. When Jimmy was born, he wasn't exactly welcome into his mother's world. For the first year or so of his life, he was raised by his grandparents, until they confronted his mother, and told her to take some interest in her child.
It was a slow process, but eventually, his mother started to look after him, until it got to the point she didn't want anyone near him, she was so capable of looking after himself. When Jimmy was five, she packed up, moved out of her parents, and moved to Boswyth Bay in England - she thought it would be the perfect place to raise him.
School was good for Jimmy when he started - naturally intelligent, he was pretty good at all his subjects, and he could talk anyone around to his way of thinking easily, and this charm made him a lot of friends. The trouble started when he was in secondary school.
His mother had met Daniel Armstrong at this stage, and when Jimmy was twelve, she married him. That meant a new surname, a new dad, and a new house, because Daniel wanted Lacey and Jimmy to live in the house he had. It was smaller than their last one, and the area wasn't as great, but Lacey would have done anything for Daniel, and didn't seem to notice Jimmy's resentment of him. Slowly, Daniel made it known that he didn't really like Jimmy, and Jimmy made it fairly obvious he didn't like him either. The main problem between them, though, was the fact that Jimmy hadn't grown out of the habit of sucking his thumb.
He'd done it a lot as a child, when his mother hadn't wanted to look after him, because it comforted it a little. He never grew out of it, and though he never did it in public, he'd started sucking it if home life was stressing him, and sometimes he'd start doing it when he was asleep. Daniel thought this was pathetic, and that was when the arguments really started. He was constantly making remarks about how pathetic Jimmy was, and Jimmy used to insult him back, until eventually, Daniel started ignoring him. Jimmy found this brilliant, until his mother followed suit. She had been pregnant, but suffered a miscarriage, and fell into depression. She didn't want to see her son, because she didn't want to know how a mistake like him had been allowed to be born, and a baby that had been planned had to be killed.
Jimmy started acting out then. At fourteen, he felt old enough to make his own decisions, and he started to drink. He started to steal his mother's money to supply the drink, and smoking was a habit he quickly took up. LSD was normal at that stage, but when he wad fifteen and took his first line of coke, there was no going back. Everything about the old Jimmy disappeared. Fuck having friends in school, fuck good marks, fuck everything - he was a completely new person. He quickly became involved in a gang, and over the course of two years, became their leader. He decided who got in and who was kicked out, and he loved it - it was the one place he actually felt at home, but he never told anyone that all the trouble he got into was just so someone would pay attention to him at home - at that stage, Jimmy didn't exist anymore.
Jimmy still loves his gang, and nights out with them are the only things he really looks forward to. He's gotten really close to Courtney Scott lately, and he doesn't know why - he knows that she could probably be an easy lay, but he knows he can get sex from anyone he wants, and doesn't quite get why he's drawn to her, but it doesn't matter to him. If he's drawn to her, he's drawn to her, and it means a fuck whenever he wants - that's good enough for him. He's never considered anything about falling in love, because to him, love doesn't exist, but it's a possible explanation to why he's drawn to Courtney - but he'd never consider that unless it was pointed out to him.

Alex hadn't been sober since Tuesday. Since he'd received the worst news of his life. Every single night, he'd go out and drink himself into oblivion, drink until he couldn't remember the last two seconds, and then he'd go home and drink some more. He'd always wind up passed out in the same spot, beside the liquor cupboard, and as soon as he woke up, he'd down another bottle. He just wanted to forget; he just wanted to forget everything that had ever happened to him.
That night had only been slightly different; he'd already been pissed when he showed up to he club, and they refused to serve him after his fifth drink, leaving him to stagger out, cursing them with every name under the sun and make his way through the streets, hardly able to see straight.
He'd been distracted as he passed the rocky patch that led towards the one good bit of beach by someone dancing in the spray; he'd spent a few minutes swaying on the spot and trying to focus on who the hell they were before he was distracted by the second person on the beach.
Christian.
The anger he'd felt on Tuesday welled up inside him again, and he stumbled towards the rocks, taking extreme care as he climbed over them, although extreme care didn't matter when you were as drunk as Alex. He slid down the last bit of rocks, the sand breaking his fall and he looked around, finding Christian sitting on the sand with the girl he'd seen dancing in the waves. He didn't recognize her, not yet, but as he staggered towards them, he was stopped in his tracks as Christian leant over and kissed her.
His blood ignited in his veins as he saw it happen. Christian had completely destroyed what he and Caitie had had, and here he was, sitting on the beach with another girl, kissing her and looking like something out of one of those sickening romance films. He hadn't seen his psychologist for days, nor had he taken his medicine and the voices in his head suddenly deafened him, all of them demanding him to go over and start screaming, to ruin Christian's relationship as Christian had ruined his, and who was he to deny himself that satisfaction?
His walk suddenly became steady as he started towards them; they didn't seem to have noticed him just yet, and as he got closer, he realized the girl was Jasey Rae - when he'd still been friends with Christian, he'd known he'd been trying to get together with her. Apparently, he'd succeeded.
Not for long.
Jasey was standing up, but not looking at him as he approached; grabbing her shoulders from behind, he spun her to face him, and before the shock had registered on her face, he was screaming, though the first bit was just one, big, angry slur. She caught the end of what he said though, and turned to ask Christian what he meant, which had Alex laughing drunkenly. He turned to Christian himself, and started to speak.
"You haven't told her yet, Christian?" He slurred, swaying slightly in the sand.
"That's so strange, it's not like you to keep secrets from anyone, is it? Well, seeing as you have no intention of telling her, I'll do it," He told him, before turning back to look at Jasey, who he was still holding onto, digging his nails into her shoulders; although he couldn't see it, under her t-shirt, he was drawing blood.
"Five weeks ago, he fucked my girlfriend at a party, and they only told me on Tuesday. He fucked Caitie when he was as good as going out with you, and now he's got her pregnant. And instead of being a man and living up to it, he's getting it on with you. He's so lovely, isn't he, doing something like that?"
Jasey was gasping, turning to Christian, and he heard her asking if it was true; she looked like she was about to cry, and finally he let go of her, turning to face Christian with a triumphant grin on his face; now, Christian would know what he had felt, know what it felt like for your best friend to betray you.
