tattoos and piercings -Jasey has no tattoos, but her ears are pierced, and she got a septum piercing done - the only reason she doesn't wear it all that much is because it hurts sometimes.
distinguishing features -The most distinguishing thing about Jasey Rae is quite easily her hair. Naturally ginger, Jasey dyed it orange, yellow and red, which means her hair literally looks like it's on fire. Jasey can be recognized anywhere because of this, and although she likes it, it can lead to trouble in school sometimes. She thinks her eyes are her best feature; dark green, Jasey usually frames them with a little bit of eyeliner and eyeshadow, because in her opinion, they're the only thing about her worth worrying about. Usually quite pale, Jasey tans extremely well in the summer.
physical flaws -Being a natural redhead means Jasey has quite a lot of freckles, but they aren't all that noticeable until the summer - as soon as she tans, the freckles come out. There's an obvious little gap between her front teeth, even though it doesn't bother her, and one of her eyes is set slightly lower in her face than the other. Although Jasey likes how she looks, there are things she'd like to change - she isn't all that comfortable in her own skin.
personal style -Jasey has no personal style. She doesn't keep up with fashion, which may be while she doesn't really fit in at school, but she just wears what she wants. She loves bright colours, though she only brings them out at the weekend. Most of the weekdays, she's forced to wear her school uniform, and she doesn't really bother to change out of it when she goes home - it's not like she has anyone to go out with.
The weekend is a different matter entirely. Every Friday and Saturday night, her wardrobe is torn apart while she looks for something to wear. Usually, it's a skirt and tank-top with a jacket, accompanied by one of her many pairs of Converse or high heels, but sometimes she'll throw together an outfit made out of anything, and it's these she likes best.

likes -[/blockquote]friday nights, saturday nights, Paramore, All Time Low, dancing, music, ipods, chocolate, hot chocolate, sweets, sugar, lie-ins, Sunday mornings, loud music, clubs, forgetting everything when she's dancing under club lights, coffee, Winter, Autumn, Summer, the beach, love stories, love songs, reading, writing, her family, being an singing, writing songs, wandering around Boswyth at night, enjoying herself.
dislikes -cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, sex for the sake of sex, doctors, school, weekends she can't go out, one-hit-wonder bands, tea, losing her voice, not having the inspiration to write songs, being single, being alone, homework, exams, crap bands, pop music, liars, flirts, people only in clubs for sex, liars, ex-boyfriends, crap photography, people trying to chat her up.
strengths -Jasey has always been an extremely honest person, and finds it hard to lie - except to her parents, about some things. She's an amazing secret keeper as well - if anyone ever told her a secret, she'd never tell anyone else. If anyone ever told her one. She's extremely confident as well, but she has to be - she wants to make it as a singer and having no confidence isn't going to get anywhere. Jasey has had a grand total of three boyfriends in her life, but she was faithful to every one of them, and would be faithful to anyone else she'd go out with in the future. Another thing about her is when someone comes to her with a problem, she'll do anything she can to help them, or she'll feel guilty for days afterwards.
weaknesses -Honesty isn't always a good thing - sometimes, Jasey can be too honest for her own good, and that honesty has made her a few enemies in Boswyth. Another thing is the fact that she tends to get too caught up in other people's problems if she wants to help him, and this can sometimes make things worse instead of better. Jasey can get emotionally attached to people very easily, and that means it's hard for her to let them go if they leave. Jasey also has an extremely short attention span, meaning that if something doesn't catch her attention, she'll fade out and get distracted by something else. It can make her seem ignorant, even though she doesn't mean it. Another thing about her is that she's an extremely emotional person. The slightest thing can set her off, and she'll dwell on it for days, which isn't really all that good for her self-esteem.
fears -Jasey's main fear is not achieving her dream. Ever since she was a child, she's wanted to be a singer, and even though she's made some demo tapes and sang in some clubs, nothing's happening for her, and she's afraid she's just going to be a nobody forever. Jasey is also deathly afraid of needles, and practically takes a panic attack if she sees one, or needs to get an injection. Jasey also has severe arachnophobia, and freezes up every time she sees a spider, no matter how small it is.
secret -We've moved around a lot, so I've been to God knows how many schools, and even though I've been here a few weeks, I don't have any friends. I didn't tell this to my parents though - they think I'm one of the popular kids, but truthfully, I have to eat lunch in my car so I don't have to sit alone.
overall personality -Jasey is a genuinely nice girl. She'd do anything for her friends, and would literally die for a member of her family. She's the type of girl who wears her heart on her sleeve, and lets her emotions be seen by everything, and while this might not be a very smart thing to do, she's been doing it for years, and is finding it hard to break the habit. She first did it in the hopes of getting friends, and while it works sometimes, more often than not, it just backfires on her.
Jasey is straight-edge. She enjoys going out to clubs every weekend, yes, but not for drink, drugs or sex. Jasey can't stand any of that stuff, so when she goes out at the weekend, it's to dance (mostly by herself), and occasionally, she'll get up and sing, if the club will let her. To become a singer is one of her main aspirations, but she can't get a record label to take her demo tapes seriously, something that annoys her to no end, because she's extremely passionate about music.
Jasey doesn't have much of a temper, but when she flares up, it'll be a small storm, or just a wave of rage. She can't really hold grudges for long, because she hates that feeling of being alone, but for as long as she holds them, she'll be extremely cold to the person on the receiving end, and let them know exactly what she thinks about them. She speaks her mind anyway, but sometimes she can be deliberately vicious to them just to see their reaction. Overall though, Jasey is a really a nice girl - she's just got big dreams, and she's just a bit lonely.

history -Jasey Rae was born on Valentines Day, and Jasey Rae saved her parent's marriage. Her father was a successful lawyer in Glasgow, Scotland, and her mother was a night nurse, meaning her parents hardly got to see each other. It wasn't really much of a marriage, and it had been going on since they were twenty - ten years down the line, they weren't comfortable with it, and were on the brink of a divorce when Alicia Rae found out she was pregnant.
That changed everything for them - they agreed to stay together for the baby, but over the next nine months, they became closer, and the spark was back in their marriage. When Jasey was born, she was immediately doted on by her parents, who had already decided they wanted more kids. Shortly after Jasey's second birthday, her younger brother, Alex, was born. Jasey wasn't the smartest child in the world, though she did fairly well when she started school, but at seven, she discovered she had a talent in singing, and that she loved music. She sang any chance she got, and decided that she wanted to be famous when she grew up. Becoming a teenager meant her music tastes extended beyond the poppy bands on T.V, and she started to like different genres, pop-punk being her favorite.
When she was twelve, her father lost his job, and moved them down to England, so he could get a better position. They were never in the one city or town for more than six months, and it meant Jasey and Alex had a hard time making friends they could hold on to. This went on for years, and because of her lack of friends, Jasey threw herself into music. When she was thirteen, her mother enrolled her for dancing, to give her something to do instead of spending all day locked in her room, scribbling out songs. Jasey didn't like it at first, but eventually, she learned to enjoy it, and she got used to it. Once they moved out of Manchester, though, the dancing stopped, but Jasey still remembers most of what she learned, and is still a good dancer. She was taught to drive when she was sixteen, during the few months they stayed in Edinburgh, and her dad bought her a car, but Jasey never used it until they moved to Boswyth.
Boswyth is the latest stop for her and her parents, although her dad has finally found a steady job. They've only been there a few weeks, but already, Jasey hates school. Everyone is only a few weeks into the first term, but they've known each other for years, and Jasey doesn't feel comfortable being the new girl in the class. Her parents are under the impression she's fitting in and enjoying school, and believe that Jasey has quickly become a popular girl, but that's as far from the truth as you can get. Jasey sits alone at the back of each class, and doesn't speak to anyone, because they don't speak to her. She sits in her car at lunchtimes, so she doesn't have to look like an idiot sitting alone in the canteen, and she doesn't pay much attention in classes - she just writes song lyrics on spare pages.
Friday and Saturday nights are the only times Jasey can really enjoy herself in Boswyth. She tells her parents she's going out with friends, dresses herself up, and goes out to the clubs. Most of the time, she just dances by herself, to forget the weeks, but more often than not, she can be found in a club called Hello Brooklyn; on the weekends, it has open nights for new talent, and because the record labels Jasey sent demo tapes too aren't taking her seriously, she spends most of her weekend down there, singing her heart out, because it's the only time she can really enjoy herself in Boswyth.

Christian was surprised she was awake, and that much was obvious by the expression on his face. He reached out and took her hand, and it felt like he was on fire when he touched her - or maybe she was just cold. So very, very cold, and the thin blanket on the hospital bed did nothing to warm her up. She was freezing, and numb from the morphine, and when he asked her how she felt, she just smirked. What a question, and one he didn't want to know the answer to.
The truth was, she felt like she was holding death's hand. She was too cold for words; it was as if all the heat had completely disappeared when her bones froze over, and that spread it to the rest of her body. She was numb from the morphine, her senses dull, and though there was no pain anymore, she could feel it, waiting to come back, waiting to attack her in full force and punish her for holding it off for so long. It would wash over her like a flame, but it wouldn't warm her, it would burn her, burn her until she was nothing, and in that one wave of fire, the one that was inevitably coming, she would lose everything. She was afraid of the pain, she was afraid of being cold, she was afraid of the fire she'd already experienced, and what was still to come.
She was afraid of dying.
She had told herself she could handle it. She had told herself she could prepare for it, meet it head on, and die with a smile on her face, but that wasn't the case. She was seventeen years old. She had a career she wanted to, she had a boyfriend who meant more to her than her own meaningless life, and she had dreams for a future, a future she wasn't going to live to see. She squeezed Christian's hand slightly, as much to comfort him as herself, and then she realized he was crying. He was crying, telling her how much he loved her, and she felt tears spring into her own eyes.
She was hurting him. The longer she lived, the more she hurt him, because he was watching her die. He didn't want to leave, so he was watching her as she faded, and her just being alive was hurting him. Every second that machine pushed oxygen into her lungs was another second Christian had to watch her and wait for it to be over, and she hated doing that to him.
"I love you too, Christian. I love you so fucking much. So fucking much," There was a piece of paper on her bedside table, and a pen, and she reached over and picked them up, quickly scribbling a small note on it. Fourteen words. That was all it was, but those fourteen words were ones she could give to Christian and ones he could have once she was gone. Folding it up, she pressed it into his free hand, before gripping the other one again.
"I want you to wait to read that. Wait, just until... just until it's all over. It won't be long now. But I want you to know this Christian, and I never want you to forget it; I love you. I love you so fucking much. You're the only one that matters to me right now. I'm going to die thinking about you, but that's ok. I want it to be that way. You're everything to me, Christian, and you always will be. I could be nothing but a memory to you, but don't let this memory fade away, Christian. I love you so much, and I always will. Forever and always. I love you,"
Leaning over, she kissed him. It wasn't anything spectacular - she didn't have the strength for it. The fire was coming; she could feel it. The kiss was nothing - a shadow of the way she used to kiss him, because she was a shadow of the girl she used to be. The only thing that stayed strong was her love for him. Flopping back on the pillows, the fire washed over her - starting with her chest.
She was still gripping Christian's hand, and she stiffened as the fire hit, pouring into her heart, scorching everything it touched and reducing her chest to nothing but ashes within minutes. Her eyes slowly closed, and still she held on to Christian's hand. It hurt, so so much, and she just wanted him to give her a long kiss goodnight, and everything would be alright, but she couldn't do that. The green line on the machine which monitored her heart rate had been spiking, but now it was flat. The beep echoed all around the small hospital room, drawing in doctors and nurses, but all Jasey knew was that she was holding Christian's hand. The fire washed through her, consuming everything, and she was burning up, but she couldn't move. She couldn't let go of Christian's hand.
The note; he had the note, and the words she'd written echoed around her mind as she slowly slipped away.
If I lose everything in the fire, I'm sending all my love to you.
There was no sound now. Just shadows dancing across the haze that was her vision. There was someone who didn't belong there, though. He didn't look much older than her, and even though she'd never met him, she knew exactly who he was.
Daddy...
Her grip on Christian's hand loosened as her system stopped responding, and finally, finally, it was over.
It was all over.
